Excavate Theatre has been producing memorable projects exploring the histories, identities, tensions and cultures of communities across the East Midlands since the year 2000.
Working in places and spaces that are often extremely challenging, Excavate know that where a story is told is as important as the way in which it is told.

Miner2Major is a five-year Landscape Partnership Scheme (2019-2023), supported by The National Lottery Heritage Fund.
Focussing on the heart of Sherwood Forest area – from Bestwood to Ollerton, and Mansfield to Rufford Abbey – Sherwood is an ancient forest, with a complex and fascinating history to match.
