We've got fun events and activities for all the family in the warm welcome of your local library this February Half-term! Enjoy our engaging workshops, fantastic craft activities and more.

Dukeries Library will close normal time at 3:45pm on Friday 14th February and re-open at 8:30am on Monday 24th February.

Edwinstowe Library Make and Play - Make your own Mini Games All week - 18 - 22 February, during normal library opening hours. A choice of three different games to make and use to play with family and friends this half term.

Every Object tells a story - Children Monday 17 February 2025, 10:30am - 12pm Join artist and writer Elizabeth Lambert for a fun filled workshop which explores local history, writing and art. Together we’ll take a look at and handle objects from the collections at the National Civil War Centre and using our imaginations, create our own object histories and stories. Every Object tells a story - Adult Tuesday 18 February 2025, 10:30am - 12pm Join artist and writer Elizabeth Lambert to create your own story and artwork inspired by the collections at the National Civil War Centre. Together we’ll develop your own short story based on a curious object of your choosing and create expressive watercolour artworks to illustrate your tale. The perfect workshop to exercise your imagination and try out story writing and illustration for yourself. All materials provided and no need to have any previous experience. FREE.
