The Summer Reading Challenge is back in libraries this summer! This year we're inspiring children to tap into a world of imagination, nature and the great outdoors by exploring nature, fantasy and the magical world of storytelling.
Join us for a virtual assembly to introduce Story Garden - Summer Reading Challenge 2025. The assembly will explain everything you and your pupils need to know about the challenge. We will cover how to join, what the challenge is and showcase the brilliant FREE rewards children earn by reading library books.
*Please note this event is only open to Nottinghamshire primary schools.
The Summer Reading Challenge is produced by The Reading Agency and runs in libraries all over the country. The challenge, aimed at children aged 4 to 11 years, is to read six or more library books over the summer. There are stickers and other reward for every book read. Children who complete the challenge receive a medal and a certificate.
Children who take part:
It’s all free, fun and a great way to keep children reading over the summer holidays.
