Shadow Movement Project

Inspire Youth Arts are excited to announce that we are collaborating with Next Door Dance, an all-female dance company based in Nottingham, to deliver Shadow Movement Project.

Shadow Movement Project is an intensive choreography project for young dancers aged 11-18, up to 24 for those with disabilities, living and/or studying in Nottingham/Nottinghamshire. You will get the opportunity to work with professional dance artists from Next Door Dance, over a three day intensive to create a brand new performance piece that will be presented at Catapult Dance Festival 2025. 

This is an exciting opportunity for those wanting to develop their performance and choreographic skills.

Intensive rehearsal dates:

Friday 21 February 2025

10am - 4pm each day

Create Theatre, West Nottinghamshire College, Derby Road, Mansfield NG18 5BH

Additional rehearsal date:

Sunday 23 March 2025

10am - 12pm

Rehearsal venue:

The Old Library, Leeming Street, Mansfield NG18 1NG

Collaborations — Next Door Dance

The work created during this intensive will be performed at Inspire Youth Arts brand new dance festival, Catapult. 

Catapult Dance Festival will take place at Mansfield Palace Theatre on Tuesday 25 March 2025. 

In order to take part in the Shadow Movement Project, you must be available for all three intensive days, the March rehearsal date AND the performance date.
