Phil Langran and Steve Benford: Live acoustic music at Beeston library

A Night of Libraries special event

Nottingham songwriter Phil Langran’s songs are engaging, accessible and deeply poetic, interweaving elements of American, Celtic, folk and blues traditions.

Fellow band-member Steve Benford joins him on acoustic guitar, banjo and vocals, as well as contributing a number of his sublime solo guitar pieces.

Over the past two decades Phil and Steve have performed at clubs and festivals and recorded a number of acclaimed albums. Phil has also released two albums produced by and featuring Boo Hewerdine: ‘Skywriting’ (2019) and ‘Falling Light’, released in late 2022.

Steve performs with the Carolan guitar, a unique instrument that employs digital technology to capture and recount its life story as it travels among musicians.

The bar will be open from 7pm.
