Nottingham songwriter Phil Langran’s songs are engaging, accessible and deeply poetic, interweaving elements of American, Celtic, folk and blues traditions.
Fellow band-member Steve Benford joins him on acoustic guitar, banjo and vocals, as well as contributing a number of his sublime solo guitar pieces.
Over the past two decades Phil and Steve have performed at clubs and festivals and recorded a number of acclaimed albums. Phil has also released two albums produced by and featuring Boo Hewerdine: ‘Skywriting’ (2019) and ‘Falling Light’, released in late 2022.
Steve performs with the Carolan guitar, a unique
instrument that employs digital technology to capture and recount its life
story as it travels among musicians.
The bar will be open from 7pm.

As part of the Day and Night of Libraries celebration we will be live streaming this event to Gütersloh library, in Broxtowe’s twin German town.
