Lydia, from Mansfield, is 9 years old and loves history. In connection with the Mansfield Townscape Heritage Project, Lydia interviewed her grandad about his memories of the Queen's 1977 visit to Mansfield. She recorded herself reading a transcript of the interview and the story was featured on Mansfield 103.2 FM radio station and the Mansfield News Journal. From this, Lydia went on to become a junior reporter for Mansfield 103.2 FM, where she reports each Sunday on the history of an old local building.
We're delighted to share these three presentations by Lydia on Annesley Hall, Pleasley Hall and Ransom Wood Hall.
