Local Heritage Day at Kimberley Library

Kimberley Library, Nottingham

Date

Venue Kimberley Library

An event to celebrate Kimberley’s past and all it has meant to residents and their loved ones over the years. We want to bring together photographs and memorabilia of local places and people that will bring a smile to your face.

We have lots of local history experts joining us on the day including :

  • Hardy & Hansons memorabilia - Richard Harvey
  • Photographs and maps of the local area – Roy Plumb
  • Friends of Bennerley Viaduct.
  • Photographs and local book ‘A Kimberley Lad’ on sale – Harry Burton
  • Mining memorabilia with Anthony Kirby
  • Ancestry sessions – book a free 30 minutes with our Ancestry volunteer.
  • A member of Inspire’s Heritage team will be in attendance.
  • More local organisations to be confirmed.

We are especially looking forward to our ‘Heritage Café’ area – come and have a cuppa and have a reminisce with our local experts – they have some great tales to tell!
