Proto-Type are a group of young creatives exploring the intersection between art and technology. Members meet monthly on Saturdays and are invited to create, experiment, collaborate and develop their artistic practice.

We have some exciting free taster sessions taking place at The Old Library, Mansfield for young people aged 15-19 with an interest and/or currently studying media and/or digital arts. The taster session will delve into world-building and digital sculpting in VR. Using specialist (open source) software, we will sculpt a room-scale, 3D environment to playfully co-build and explore.

Taster sessions are at the following times during the day, please book onto the time you wish to attend on the Eventbrite link:

9:30-11am

11:30am-1pm

Following the session, attendees may apply to be a member of Proto-Type for 24/25 (spaces are limited). An intensive will be held during October half term on 28th and 29th October 2024 and monthly meetings will take place on Saturdays until June 2025 (exact dates to be confirmed). October half term and monthly Saturday activity will take place at Studio Urban Projections, located at the Harley Foundation, Welbeck.
