I Am A Creator: Exhibitions

Discover I Am A Creator – Inspire’s exciting new programme of creative opportunities for people of all ages! Inspired by some of the fascinating insights we uncovered as part of our ground-breaking, Arts Council England funded, I Am A Reader project, I Am A Creator aims to bring audiences - who may not always recognise themselves as creative – together with professional writers and artists as they co-create exciting new work across a range of mediums.

These exhibitions provide an inspiring glimpse into the programme so far, which began its first year with I Am A Writer. Come and see some of the brilliant and creative work being produced as part of the project.

Through writing, photography and audio the I Am A Writer exhibition seeks to convey the inspiring story of our I Am A Writer project, which saw established witers working with groups of people in the community to co-create exciting pieces of new writing - with the ultimate aim of giving voice to people who may not often be heard.

Enjoy some of the wonderful writing co-created with the groups - which included people living with dementia, older people and neurodiverse families - and get a behind-the-scenes look at the project through images captured by photographer Neil Pledger.
