Festival of Science and Curiosity 2025: Inflatable Planetarium Shows at Mansfield Central Library

Families are invited to join the team from Nottingham Trent University's Observatory for an exciting journey into their inflatable digital planetarium at Mansfield Central Library. Within the NTU inflatable digital planetarium we will explore together what's up above at night. Fly with us to Jupiter, make your own constellations, and hear stories about heroes in the sky.

The planetarium experience is wheelchair accessible and chairs can be provided for those who need them; attendees are kindly requested to notify the organisers during ticket booking if any accommodations are needed. 

Please arrive 15 minutes prior to your booking time to allow plenty of time to get settled into the planetarium before the show begins. Latecomers may be refused entry as this can disrupt other guests.

This event is suitable for families with children aged 6+. When booking your tickets, please include all adults and children attending.

There are four sessions:

• 10am-10.45am
• 11am-11.45am
• 1pm-1.45pm
• 2pm-2.45pm

This event is part of Nottinghamshire Festival of Science and Curiosity (FOSAC), produced by local education charity Ignite!, in collaboration with a wide range of partners across Nottinghamshire. This year, the event runs from 10th -21st February 2025.

Each year FOSAC invites the people of Nottinghamshire to explore, experiment and examine; to be curious, to ask questions, and to seek answers about the world around us, and this year is no different!
