Join us for an evening of discovery at Nottinghamshire Archives where you will experience our collections like never before with Augmented Reality features, taking you on a trip into the county's rich past.

Take a peak behind the scenes in our conservation studio and more in short tours* of the Archives featuring AR content that brings you even closer to Nottinghamshire's history

Digitise your precious memories. Bring your photographs along for scanning - we'll send a digital version to you and preserve a copy in the Archives forever!

Short tours of the Archives

*Please note that spaces on the short tours are limited so booking is highly advised.

Come and see behind the scenes and discover the secret world of Archives! Be the first to try out new Augmented Reality content to uncover hidden stories and images from the Archives, including a chance to visit our conservation studio.

To make the most of our Augmented Reality tour, you will need a smartphone or tablet with an integrated camera and web browser. Free access to our Wifi will be provided for use in the tour.

Please note that as our Augmented Reality technology has been generously supported by Nottingham City Council on behalf of the UK Shared Prosperity Fund, the short tours offered as part of the ARchives Unleashed evening are currently offered to residents of Nottingham City only.

When booking your ticket for a short tour, you will be asked to confirm your postcode which will be used for reporting to funders at Nottingham City Council.
