Our online IQA level 4 award is studied online and designed to provide candidates with the knowledge and skills needed to internally quality-assure assessment decisions.
The course will allow candidates to demonstrate their competence in monitoring assessment processes and decisions within an organisation in addition to helping to maintain and improve the quality of assessment within the work environment.
It is a work-related and competence-based qualification and provides confirmation to employers and industry managers that the student has the skills and knowledge needed to meet the nationally-recognised standard to carry out their role.
This qualification is for those who quality assure RQF/NVQ qualifications.
It is a requirement of the course that you have already achieved your Assessor award and have been practicing as an Assessor for a minimum of 12 months or less if agreed by your awarding organisation.
You will need your Lead Internal Quality Assurer to allocate you a minimum of 2 Assessors who are undertaking work based NVQ or RQF assessments with at least 2 candidates each, and you will be responsible for monitoring and supporting these Assessors.
This is an online course usually running over 2 days. You will be required to attend both sessions and then hold 1:1s with your tutor beyond the delivered sessions whilst collecting evidence to complete your portfolio.
You will be required to have a laptop or computer and internet to enable you to access the live classes on Zoom.
