Employability Skills (Level 1)

Our Employability Skills qualifications are delivered online. Designed to support you in successfully gaining a job or progressing in a chosen field, the course will also prepare you for further study and support the development of skills needed for successful independent living.

What will we cover?

There are three units within this qualification covering:

• Progression skills
• Target setting
• Problem solving
• Workplace environments
• Applying for jobs
• Creating CVs
• Mock interviews

Who is the course for?

Employability Skills are for anyone who wants to:

• Live a more independent life
• Progress in education and/or your employment prospects
• Get into a job
• Develop on the job
• Move on to the next job

How can I progress after completing the course?

Upon completion of this course you could progress to our Level 2 Award or Certificate in Employability Skills. We also have a wide range of vocational options at Level 1 and 2 including Functional Skills Maths,  Functional Skills English, and Essential Digital Skills Qualification.

Course costs

The cost of this course is FREE/£117.00.

1)  Free - if you earn less than £25,000 or are on a means-tested benefit.

2) Payment help available - if you earn more than £25,000 but are on a low-income, we might be able to help pay part or all of your course fees. Email: learning@inspireculture.org.uk for an application form or if you have any questions.

3) Co-funded - if you are on a higher-income, the government will pay approximately half of your course fees.
