Count on us for.... Olympic Fun!

Join us this summer for a series of FREE creative maths challenges designed for you and your child! Discover the joy of learning together as we make, measure, and model in fun, hands-on activities inspired by the excitement of the Paris Olympics.

What to expect

Bring your curiosity and creativity as we dive into activities that blend fun and education. Over the course of two hours, you and your child will:

  • Use basic maths skills from the primary curriculum.
  • Make paper javelins and medals.
  • Construct the Eiffel Tower.
  • Design Olympic-themed maths games.

Please note: Activities may vary depending on the library location.

Gain confidence in measuring distances, develop skills in constructing 3D shapes and improve your maths ability, together!

Who can join

Our Olympic Fun sessions are perfect for adults and primary-aged children who want to enjoy maths in a relaxed, supportive environment. No experience needed, but:

  • Children must be mature enough to participate in making activities and engage with fun explanations.
  • Adults must be accompanied by a child (maximum two children per adult), and children must be accompanied by an adult as you work together to complete the maths challenges.
  • Sessions are ideal for those who do not have a level 2 qualification in maths (GCSE C/4 or above) or not confident using maths at this level.

Exciting prize draw

Everyone completing an enrolment form will be entered into a prize draw to win shopping vouchers:
