About this course

Have you ever noticed how mainstream psychology focuses on dysfunction and what is wrong? 


This course introduces you to the science of what makes life worth living.  Each session will be themed based on Positive Psychology’s PERMA model of wellbeing. The course is practical and aimed at providing you with wellbeing tools and activities to apply in your own life and practice throughout your week.  


We will explore wellbeing topics such as emotional intelligence, experiencing flow and being fully engaging in your life, focusing on strengths, bring mindfulness into everyday life, Developing positive relationships, working towards achievements based on meaning and purpose.  


Introduction to positive psychology and how it fits into psychology, identifying factors which creates wellbeing and flourishing. 


  • The pleasant life - Creating positive emotions and happiness. 
  • The engaged life – Identifying and developing strengths, get into the flow zone and being fully present in our lives.  
  • The meaningful and connected life - Creating meaning and purpose and connection with others.  
  • The flourishing life – Action planning for a flourishing future.  


By the end of the course, you will: 

  • Identify factors which increase wellbeing 
  • Develop skills for emotional self-regulation and increase emotion label use by 50%. 
  • Identify strengths and explain how you have used them in your week.  
  • Create a vision board of what has meaning and gives you a sense of purpose. 
  • Identify strengths in others to develop positive connections.  
  • Choose and use one technique for goal setting for a future flourishing life.

To secure your place on the course BOTH the following must be done:

  • Complete our INSPIRE ONLINE ENROLMENT FORM for each person attending the course.

To book and enrol on one of our courses, you must have been living in England and have been resident in the UK for the past 3 years.

Some exceptions may apply if you are living in England with evidence of the right to remain and are from an EEU/EEAU country (completion of a questionnaire will be required).
