About this course

Have you admired English paper-pieced quilts and thought you could never master the technique? Why not try this short course and see how quickly you become confident with the project. This process of patchwork can produce beautiful designs for cushions or quilts but can be very relaxing! As well as a way of using up small pieces of fabric from other projects

By the end of the course, you will:

- Understand Pattern theory – be able to give some design ideas/plans

- Descriptive some of the shapes able to be used in EPP.

- Reflect on some old examples of EPP quilts/projects, in concept of culture changes/benefits

- Be able to create patterns with patchwork shapes

- Develop/improve their eye and hand coordination

- Show an ability of reflecting on your learning

Also

- Analyse the benefits of creative activities to improved mental health

You are required to provide: your own fabric – cotton is best for this (fat quarters are available in places like The Works, Aldi, but you can use old cotton clothing to be more of an eco-craft(thrifty) project.  You will also need a small sewing kit (needle, thread and scissors).
