Create a selection of delicious homemade tray bakes that will be suitable for yourself, friends, family, and cake sales.
Join us in our brand-new professional kitchens at Inspire Learning Centre, High Pavement, Sutton-in-Ashfield, for a short 4-week course.
Learn how to make a basic sponge, a variety of flapjacks, and fruit crumble tray bakes. Experiment with different flavours and toppings, including lemon, chocolate, coffee, and ginger. Try baking with vegetables eg carrots or courgettes.
The course is ideal for beginners who want to improve their baking skills or learn how to bake for cake sales.
By the end of the course, you will:
You will be advised prior to the first week and then at each session what you will need for the following week. Ingredients will include flour, oats, eggs, sugar and margarine as well as flavourings and fruit/vegetables.
Please bring something to take your edible items away in, an apron, tie back for long hair, wear sensible shoes (no flip flops please).

To book and enrol on one of our courses, you must have been living in England and have been resident in the UK for the past 3 years.
Some exceptions may apply if you are living in England with evidence of the right to remain and are from an EEU/EEAU country (completion of a questionnaire will be required).
As we no longer receive funding for our ESFA-funded courses for learners living in the devolved areas listed below, full cost fees would apply to these courses if you live in these areas:
