About this course

On this course, we will study the body in an organised way, enabling you to fully comprehend how all the intricate functions and systems of the human body work together. You will be able to connect what you learn about anatomy and physiology to what you already know about your own body.

By taking this course, you will begin to think and speak in the language of the domain.

You will be able to integrate the knowledge you gain about anatomy and physiology to support explanations of physiological phenomenon that is the human body.

You will be able to understand the structure and function of the body, and the connection between the two.

Throughout the course, we will look at: muscles of the body and how to keep them healthy; how the cells work; what is DNA; the nervous system and the brain; the function of the skin; how the heart functions and common health myths and misconceptions.
