Our level 1 Awareness of Substance Misuse Award is conveniently delivered online. The course will help you develop awareness, knowledge and understanding of substance misuse.
Our Level 1 Awareness of Substance Misuse Award will develop your knowledge and understanding of substance misuse (including alcohol) and its potential effects on individuals and others.
You do not need any previous experience or qualifications to join. The qualification may be useful for those studying or working in the following sectors: counselling, childcare, sport and recreation, community work, youth work, or volunteering.
Upon completion of this qualification you could progress to other level 2 awards or diplomas in health, or health and social care.
The cost of this course is free/£54 but your course could be fully or part-funded subject to the criteria below:
1) Free - if you earn less than £25,000 or are on a means-tested benefit.
2) Payment help available - if you earn more than £25,000 but are on a low-income, we might be able to help pay part or all of your course fees. Email: learning@inspireculture.org.uk for an application form or if you have any questions.
3) Co-funded - if you are on a higher-income, the government will pay approximately half of your course fees.
