About this course

Would you like to enjoy watercolour techniques, in a stress- free environment?

This course will help you build confidence in painting, enjoying colour, experimenting with tools, materials and techniques, as well as with the effects that sponges, twigs and salt create. You will begin to experiment on a small postcard to play with these techniques. You can then try larger pieces, but still enjoy freedom not  restricted by drawing ability. The tutor will demonstrate techniques to incorporate nature in your work, such as tracing, squaring up an image, and rule of three to create a simple landscape composition.

You will be able to practice these techniques to help you paint images of your choice.

What will be covered on the course?

Session 1: Play with watercolours on postcards

Session 2: Understand how paint follows water
