Watercolour Painting - From Acorn to Oak - Retford Library - Adult Learning

About this course

Have you always wanted to have a go at watercolour? Would you like to paint simple forms and themes of local oak woodland? The session will cover simple watercolour techniques to paint an acorn and then oak leaves. Using four watercolour techniques, you will then be able to paint an oak tree. It is not necessary to be able to draw as you will be able to use trace-down to help form shapes. 

By the end of the session, you will be able to:

• Paint a simple acorn in watercolour 
• Paint oak leaves with acorns 
• Use wet in wet effects to paint an oak tree. 

Resources will be provided but if there are any paints or brushes that you would like to use, please feel free to bring them

To book and enrol on one of our courses, you must have been living in England and have been resident in the UK for the past 3 years.

Some exceptions may apply if you are living in England with evidence of the right to remain and are from an EEU/EEAU country (completion of a questionnaire will be required).
