In this unit the learner will be able to use email software to compose, send and manage incoming email effectively using Microsoft Outlook.
This course will be delivered over Microsoft Teams and a laptop/PC will be needed to complete the course, as Microsoft Word will be needed to evidence coursework. Please, note that it won't be possible to complete the course over a phone/tablet.
The learner will:
1 Be able to use email software tools and techniques to compose and send messages:
1.1 Select and use software tools to compose and format email messages, including attachments
1.2 Determine the message size and how it can be reduced
1.3 Send email messages to individuals and groups
1.4 Describe how to stay safe and respect others when using email
1.5 Use an address book to organise contact information
2 Be able to manage incoming email effectively:
2.1 Follow guidelines and procedures for using email
2.2 Read and respond to email messages appropriately
2.3 Use email software tools and techniques to automate responses
2.4 Describe how to archive email messages, including attachments
2.5 Organise, store and archive email messages effectively
2.6 Respond appropriately to email problems
The usual AEB funding rules apply, but this course is FREE for Bassetlaw residents who are currently employed/self-employed and in receipt of Universal Credit or Tax Credits, or employed part-time.
To secure your place on the course BOTH the following must be done:

To book and enrol on one of our courses, you must have been living in England and have been resident in the UK for the past 3 years.
Some exceptions may apply if you are living in England with evidence of the right to remain and are from an EEU/EEAU country (completion of a questionnaire will be required).
As we no longer receive funding for our ESFA-funded courses for learners living in the devolved areas listed below, full cost fees would apply to these courses if you live in these areas:
1) FREE - if you earn less than £25,000 gross salary or are on a means-tested benefit.
2) PAYMENT HELP AVAILABLE - if you earn more than £25,000 (annual gross salary) but are on a low-income, we might be able to help pay part or all of your course fees. Email: learning@inspireculture.org.uk for an application form or if you have any questions.
3) CO-FUNDED - if you are on a higher-income, the government will pay approximately half of your course fees.
