The principles of drawing and painting are progressively practiced with techniques, including drawing composition and perspective. You will discover how to apply contrast, colour theory, and tonal values to create beautiful expressive compositions using vigorous brushstrokes. Your will be guided step-by-step in order to build your skills and confidence, focusing on subjects like composition, perspective and observation:
This course is taught by a professional art tutor and guides you through the process of creating an expressive cityscape composition in acrylics, with tuition provided through a mixture of demonstrations and exercises according to your needs. The course will help you to develop a personal painting style and to explore the boundaries between representation, abstraction and multimedia. With practical advice on colour mixing, techniques and exploring composition ideas, learners can develop the necessary skills to approach a painting using mixed media to achieve exciting and dramatic effects in different styles.
This course is suitable for beginners as well as anyone interested in creating beautiful urban scenes. Everyone will enjoy it and be infused with creativity. By the end of the course learners will complete a work on paper or canvas. They will also become more confident using acrylics.
