About this course

Our Understanding Autism Level 3 Certificate can be studied online from the comfort of your own home, and could be FREE subject to eligibility criteria. The objectives of this qualification are to support you to gain knowledge and understanding of autism, including:

how to adopt a positive approach to supporting individuals with autism
the current legislative framework relating to individuals with autism and how different theories have developed over time
how to support and manage transitions for individuals with autism
the range of therapeutic interventions and support available for individuals with autism and co-occurring conditions
how to support communication and social interaction for individuals with autism
how to develop an understanding of how individuals with autism may be vulnerable and the support worker’s role and responsibilities relating to safeguarding according to legislative requirements.

To be awarded the Certificate, learners are required to successfully complete 6 mandatory units.

Unit 01 Autism in context,
Unit 02 Positive behavioural support for individuals with autism,
Unit 03 Understand support and management of transitions for individuals with autism,
Unit 04 Therapeutic interventions and support available for individuals with autism and co-occurring conditions,
Unit 05 Communication and social interaction with individuals with autism,
Unit 06 Safeguarding and resilience in autism.

As this course is online, a suitable device such as laptop, smart phone, tablet or computer will be required to access the course. Zoom will be used for the live sessions and the link will be sent to you once your enrolment has been completed.

Booking your place and fee information

FREE - if you earn less than £20,319 gross salary, are on a means-tested benefit or do not hold a full level 3 qualification.

To secure your place on the course BOTH the following must be done:

Complete the EVENTBRITE BOOKING.
Complete our INSPIRE ONLINE ENROLMENT FORM for each person attending the course.

To book and enrol on one of our courses, you must have been living in England and have been resident in the UK for the past 3 years.

Some exceptions may apply if you are living in England with evidence of the right to remain and are from an EEU/EEAU country (completion of a questionnaire will be required).
