About this course

This course is an intermediate guide to decorating cakes with a cyclamen sugar craft flower.

You will learn skills and techniques using a Large Christmas Rose Cutter.

You will produce a cyclamen to your own specification and design, to decorate and enhance any special occasion or celebration cake. Cyclamen come in a range of colours of white, pink, purple, salmon, or red.

By the end of the course, you will know:

How to make the centre of the cyclamen
How to create the petals for the cyclamen using a large Christmas rose cutter
How to create a cyclamen leaf
How to dust the cyclamen and the leaf to bring the flower and leaf to life

Please bring:

Large Christmas rose cutter.
Cyclamen leaf and veiner
Squires Petal Paste (Gum paste)
Board
Rolling Pin
Corn flour for dusting
Edible glue
Paintbrushes for glue and dusting
PME Foam cell pad
Modelling tools: dresden tool, ball tool.
Wires 24 gauge
Wire cutters
Scissors
Petal dusting powders of personal choice, examples: Foliage green, moss green, white, pink, purple, salmon, or red.
Cocktail sticks.
Florist tape
Note pad and pen.
