About this course

This course is a beginner’s course designed to introduce learners to anemone sugar craft flowers. You will produce an anemone flower to enhance any special occasion cake with step-by-step instructions. 


By the end of the course, you will be able to:

• Produce the petals for the anemone adding texture and realism 

• Produce the centre for the anemone, adding stamens

• Learn how to dust the flower to add dimension 


You will produce an anemone to enhance any special occasion or celebration cake.


Resources required:

  • Florist sugar paste by squires- white 
  • Corn flour dapper 
  • Rolling pin 
  • 2 different sizes of petals for anemone, one smaller one larger.
  • 1 leaf cutter with five prongs. 
  • 50 small doubled edged stamens.
  • White cotton
  • 1x 18-gauge wire
  • 24-gauge wire
  • Foam mat- Foam cell pad. 
  • Multi-purpose veiner
  • Floral tape
  • Ball tool 
  • Dresden tool 
  • Tweezer
  • Scissors
  • Green foliage dusting powder 
  • Black dusting powder
  • Rejuvenating spirit. 
  • Edible glue 
  • Cocktail stick. 
  • Brushes. 
  • Tin foil cupped into a shallow dish shape of cup shaped pro formers.
  • Note pad and pen.

To book and enrol on one of our courses, you must have been living in England and have been resident in the UK for the past 3 years.
