On this course, you will learn to be able to talk about your family and friends and give some personal information about yourself. You will look in detail at the uses of ser and estar (verbs) and the topic of travelling and describing places. Booking accommodation, directions and using different methods of transport to get to different places will also be looked at.
This course will be looking at some prior topics (from Spanish for beginners) but in more detail using more vocabulary and more complex grammar. It will give learners the opportunity to have more independent conversations and practice more complex vocabulary and grammar structures.
We will cover the following topics:
- Family, friends and personal information
- Ser and estar
- Travelling
- Describe places you have visited and your city or town
- Methods of transport
- At the hotel
Learners should bring an English - Spanish dictionary and notebook for taking notes. As this course is online, a suitable device such as laptop, smart phone, tablet or computer will be required to access the course. The link for you to join the live sessions will be sent to you once your enrolment has been completed.

To book and enrol on one of our courses, you must have been living in England and have been resident in the UK for the past 3 years.
Some exceptions may apply if you are living in England with evidence of the right to remain and are from an EEU/EEAU country (completion of a questionnaire will be required).
As we no longer receive funding for our ESFA-funded courses for learners living in the devolved areas listed below, full cost fees would apply to these courses if you live in these areas:
