About this course

Shinrin Yoku is the art of taking in or immersing oneself  in the forest atmosphere.  It has long been recognised as a way to reconnect with nature and to help relax from the stresses and worries of everyday life.

Shinrin Yoku involves mindfulness and encourages us to completely immerse ourselves in the forest atmosphere, using all our senses.

Suitable for beginners, join us for  this 3 session blended learning course, to experience and explore  the benefits of Shinrin Yoku for yourself.  The first session  is online for 1 hour; sessions 2 and 3 will be in the beautiful surroundings of Bestwood Country Park, Gedling,  Notts.

Please note, sessions  may involve walking over uneven ground, so may not be suitable for anyone with mobility issues.

This course is programmed in partnership with the Greenwood Community Forest Project.

Please bring a drink and wear clothing and footwear suitable for outdoor walking and possible inclement weather for session 2 & 3.

Session 1 is online. Session 2 & 3: Bestwood Country Park. You will be sent the online learning  link for session 1 shortly before the course starts and your tutor will discuss meeting arrangements at this session for weeks 2 & 3.

Sessions  may involve walking over uneven ground, so may not be suitable for anyone with mobility issues.   Please bring a drink and wear clothing and footwear suitable for outdoor walking and possible inclement weather.
