About this course

The course will introduce beginners to three paper crafts so they can develop their own creative ideas and include embellishments in their own papercraft projects.  


The course will include paper craft projects such as flowers; butterflies, goldfish, frogs, and festive decorations; and a ‘pop-up’ greeting card. 


Over the duration of the course, we will cover: 

  • How to make quilling shapes and combine them to make creative images 
  • Origami folding skills and use them to make Origami models 
  • How to make a pop-up card 
  • Quilling, Origami and pop -up terms 

We will also look briefly at the history of quilling and pop-up cards 


Resources required by attendees:

  • Quilling tool   
  • Quilling paper - either 5 mm or 10 mm would be suitable  
  • We will be using Orange and Green Quilling strips to make the goldfish and Frog. We will also be using other colours to make flowers and festive decorations - There will be some resources available in the session for example homemade quilling paper made with the aid of a shredder.  
  • Origami Paper: at least 20cm x 20cm coloured on one side and white on the other.   
  • A few old Christmas or Greetings Cards will be useful in the Pop-Up session as will a few pieces of blank white card. 
  • PVA Glue, Scissors, cocktail sticks and baking paper will also be used throughout the course.

To book and enrol on one of our courses, you must have been living in England and have been resident in the UK for the past 3 years.

Some exceptions may apply if you are living in England with evidence of the right to remain and are from an EEU/EEAU country (completion of a questionnaire will be required).
