Discover the vibrant world of acrylic painting with our "Painting à la Matisse" course, designed specifically for beginners. This course is your gateway to mastering the techniques of one of history's most celebrated artists, Henri Matisse regarded as the greatest colourist of the 20th century, responsible for laying the foundation for modern plastic arts. Over a series of engaging face-to-face sessions, you will explore Matisse's unique style, characterised by bold colours, dynamic brushstrokes, and expressive compositions.
You will be guided step-by-step in order to build your skills and confidence, focusing on subjects like colour mixing, painting techniques and understanding the impressionistic style of painting:
By the end of the course learners will complete at least one work on canvas. They will have fun by experimenting with the palette knife and become more confident in using acrylics.
Resources required:
The art materials are to be discussed during the first session of the course when the tutor will cover the topic.
