By the end of the course you will be able to:

As well as using primary and secondary research, you will be able to create your own piece of art in response to your reference material.

2. Show how to use and apply different materials and mediums:

Incorporate at least three different materials and mediums to add texture and depth.

3. Express yourself creatively using a variety of mixed media techniques:

Use mixed media choices to express your creative self.

4. Explain how art can have a positive impact on mental health and wellbeing:

Analyse and discuss the ways that art can positively impact mental health and wellbeing, including examples from your own experience or from research.

5. Demonstrate a range of mixed media skills that could be used in your own projects:

Apply at least three mixed media skills to a personal project that integrates multiple techniques.

6. Plan next steps as an artist including finding new opportunities to practice and further develop your skills: Outline two steps for further skill development, noting resources or personal goals in your journal by the last session.
