• Do you need a maths qualification to get a promotion at work?
• Would a level 2 qualification help you with further study?
• Or do you fancy just meeting with like-minded people to improve your maths confidence?
Our experienced friendly tutors will support you to work towards a City and Guilds maths qualification - at a level that is right for you. You will learn a range of techniques to help you solve number problems in everyday life. The 18-weekly lessons are delivered in one of Inspire’s welcoming libraries and your exam, in week 19 (July 2025) also takes place here.
The course is broken down into accessible units with examples and practice questions linked to everyday life. Units covered included:
Number: using calculations, decimals, percentages, fractions and ratios.
Shape, space and measure: working with measures; calculating area and volume; understanding plan and elevation; using scale and co-ordinates.
Handling data: calculating averages; working with probability; using and drawing graphs and charts.
In addition, we will also cover exam techniques to help you achieve your qualification.
It is useful to have your own calculator, pen and notepad. A textbook appropriate to your level will be provided to you on completion of your online initial assessment.
By enrolling on this accredited qualification, you agree to,
1. Attend class every week.
2. Complete homework set on the online portal.
