About this course

Join us for this hands-on course and learn how to create your very own interesting pieces of jewellery, using measuring, ratio and design skills.

Join us for this hands-on course and learn how to create your very own interesting pieces of jewellery, using measuring, ratio and design skills. Your tutor will assist with some of the fiddly techniques required to assemble the jewellery pieces.

During this course, you will identify different materials used in jewellery making, create your own patterns using ratios to plan and design, utilise recycled material to make interesting pieces of jewellery, and experiment with using felt circles to create a rose brooch.

By the end of this course, you will:

  • understand the use of ratio in design creation
  • accurately measure threading materials.
  • correctly use a variety of tools and jewellery findings
  • remake jewellery using recycled beads
  • design and create geometric earrings

Resources will be communicated to you by the tutor but please bring any broken beads, bits and bobs, that could be re-designed or remade.
