About this course

During this course, you will use ratio to plan your own creative designs. You will use tape measures and measuring boards to correctly measure your pieces. With these skills you will be able to recycle beads to make interesting pieces of jewellery, as well as experiment with geometric paper folding to create origami leaf earrings.

By the end of this course, you will:  

• understand the use of ratio in design creation.

• accurately measure threading materials. 

• correctly use a variety of tools and jewellery findings 

• remake jewellery using recycled beads.

• design and create geometric earrings.  

Resources required by attendees:
You will need: 

  • large-hole beads
  • a brooch pin
  • 2 clasps
  • beading wire
  • any broken beads, bits and bobs, that could be re-designed or remade.
