About this course

On this course, you’ll gain some elementary appreciation of Italian grammar and structures, and you’ll be able to give basic information about yourself and ask for directions. 


You’ll also be able to communicate at a basic level when you are in restaurants and in hotels. 


Topics that you will be introduced to include: 

  • Using the informal or formal form 
  • Useful expressions for clothing and shopping 
  • Understanding and giving instructions in Italian 
  • How to talk about sports 
  • Choosing a restaurant 
  • Ordering food in restaurants 
  • Talking about films and TV programmes 

This is ONLY for Learners who have studied Italian for one or two years continuously, as it will start half way through the course book Contatti 1 (which is the basis of Italian GCSE).

To book and enrol on one of our courses, you must have been living in England and have been resident in the UK for the past 3 years.

Some exceptions may apply if you are living in England with evidence of the right to remain and are from an EEU/EEAU country (completion of a questionnaire will be required).
