About this course

Have you ever noticed how often you need maths skills in everyday life?

This course is designed to inspire you to improve your current maths skills and help you to remember any areas that you may have forgotten.

A gentle introduction to the mathematical basics of multiplication; fractions; decimals and percentages.

This course is perfect for those without a formal maths qualification.

This course will demystify certain areas of maths. You will learn the different methods for multiplying double digits together; finding a fraction of an amount and adding fractions; rounding whole numbers and decimals and calculating percentages of an amount.

After studying this course, you should be able to:

identify the maths skills you need to tackle a problem
use maths tips and trick to find the solution you’re looking for
explain the process you used to get an answer and draw simple conclusions from it
use your new-found maths skills in everyday life

Resources required by Attendees:

You will need a pen and notepad, and a calculator. As this course is online, a suitable device such as laptop, smart phone, tablet or computer will be required to access the course. The online learning link will be sent to you after your enrolment has been completed; this normally arrives a few days before the course is due to start.

To book and enrol on one of our courses, you must have been living in England and have been resident in the UK for the past 3 years.

Some exceptions may apply if you are living in England with evidence of the right to remain and are from an EEU/EEAU country (completion of a questionnaire will be required).
