The course is the second part of an introduction to Human Biology to include the following topic areas: The endocrine system and Homeostasis (coordination and control of the body), The Nervous system (reflex actions and the eye), The kidneys (osmoregulation, diabetes and dialysis), The Immune system (defence against disease).
If you are interested in knowing more about how the Human Body works, then this course offers the necessary information and knowledge to gain an understanding in what makes an efficient human body and gives examples of what and how things can go wrong in some organ systems.
This course is useful for learners who are interested in studying a pre–Access or an Access course or who are already studying on one of these courses with biology content. This Human Biology course would offer extra support and relevant knowledge for Access learners.
GCSE Biology books would be useful for background knowledge and to help develop an understanding as the course progresses.
As this course is online, a suitable device such as laptop, smart phone, tablet or computer will be required to access the course.
