The intent of the course is for learners to understand the basics of Hand Embroidery, which will enable them to create wonderful textile pieces. We will be exploring Nottinghamshire’s Wildlife as inspiration for your work. Come along and learn about one of the oldest forms of needle work which has renewed in popularity.
By the end of the course, you will have gone from a beginner to a confident sewer, being able to explain and demonstrate a range of stitches. You will understand the history of the craft, and the equipment needed to create wonderful pieces. You will have knowledge of common pit falls and the skills to problem solve. You will be able to create pieces independently to welcome Embroidery as your new hobby.
Learners will need:
Threads, needles, felts, fabrics, fabric scissors, paper, paper scissors, paper, pins.
As this course is online, a suitable device such as laptop, smart phone, tablet or computer will be required to access the course. Zoom will be used for the live sessions and the link will be sent to you once your enrolment has been completed.

To book and enrol on one of our courses, you must have been living in England and have been resident in the UK for the past 3 years.
