About this course

Are you concerned about supporting wildlife and nature around you? Do you want to do your bit for the planet while enjoying your garden?

This course helps you to plan your garden so that it encourages wildlife such as butterflies, bees and birds. It helps you identify which plants to grow and how to care for them. It goes on to recognise what steps we can take to minimise pollution in gardening and how to create habitats for wildlife to overwinter.

You will be able to draw a planting plan, as well as practice planting out herbaceous perennials for wildlife. You will also find out how to encourage garden birds, how to make a garden pond, find how to plant a flowering tree as well as make safe homes for wildlife.

The course takes place partly in the Vibrant venue and continues in a practical sense in the church garden and polytunnel.
