About this course

On this course you will learn about and explore using Gelli Plates as a printing tool. Through demonstration, personal experimentation and individual tuition you will learn different printing techniques. You will learn how to use natural objects, stencils, printed items and textured items to create small prints.

By the end of the course, you will have learnt a variety of ways to produce beautiful surface designs and patterned papers. We will use some of these prints to create gifts - such as bookmarks and tags. 

What will learners achieve by the end of the course?  

  • Gain an understanding of equipment - gel plate 
  • Explain the differences between paints available 
  • Knowledge of Pattern theory & Formation 
  • How to create depth to printed surface 
  • How to create layering techniques 

Resources required:

  • Apron or a big shirt  
  • Gel Plate & Brayer - if you have these, otherwise a set will be provided for you to use on the course 
  • Wet wipes 
  • Printing Media - Fabric or Cartridge paper or Copier Paper

To book and enrol on one of our courses, you must have been living in England and have been resident in the UK for the past 3 years.
