About this course

Do you already make decorated cakes and edible treats for family and friends?  If you are looking to take that next step of turning your hobby into a registered business and are not sure what you need to do, then this short, 1 off session is for you.

This course is FREE to those living in Bassetlaw and also working part time in any capacity or on a qualifying benefit, other wise a small  fee will apply.

By the end of this session, you will :

  • Know how to register your business
  • Understand the Importance of Environmental Health
  • Know which records you need to keep to be compliant
  • Have discussed some hints and tips on growing your business.

This course is for those who are already competent cake decorators, looking to take the next step into selling their handcrafted edible products.

Taking the leap into formalizing your fledgling business can seem overwhelming if you are not sure where to begin.  Together we will explore the steps you need to take to convert your informal baking and decorating for family and friends into a fully compliant registered business.  By the end of this course, learners will have the knowledge and increased confidence to begin their business registration.

You may find a notebook and pen useful for taking notes.
