About this course
On completion of this course students should be able to select and use a wide range of advanced spreadsheet software tools and techniques to produce, present and check complex and non- routine spreadsheets. They will also be able to use a software application designed to record data in rows and columns, perform calculations with numerical data and present information using charts and graphs.
Skills shown will also help to use a spreadsheet to enter, edit and organise numerical and other data, select and use appropriate formulas and data analysis tools and techniques to meet requirements and use tools and techniques to present, and format and publish spreadsheet information. More specifically topics will include adding data, naming sheets, merging and centring cells, editing, formatting, inserting hyperlinks, linking data/cells, formulas like 52 week high and low and changing data to stock. Formulas and functions like; sum, minus, multiply, divide, named ranges, lookup, average, percentages, IF/AND, frequency, conditional formatting, creating a basic pivot table, charts, forecasting. Merging cells vertically, gridlines and borders, freezing rows/columns, combination charts, print options, spell check, and error checking.
This is a higher-level course that should not be attempted without prior training at level 2. This course can be combined with any other digital skills courses.
As this course is online, a suitable device such as laptop, smart phone, tablet or computer will be required to access the course. Zoom will be used for the live sessions and the link will be sent to you once your enrolment has been completed.
