About this course

This course will guide you through creating some lovely crafts. We will use felt fabric to create unique pieces that you can give as gifts or use to decorate your home and keep for generations to come. This course has been designed to help you make a selection of unique festive felt Christmas decorations that can be used to either hang on your Christmas tree, be put on a wreath or a string on a bunting or be made into a Christmas stocking.

On the course you will be taught different methods to construct and assemble your work, decorative techniques for embellishment and simple hand sewing techniques. Prior knowledge is useful but not essential, so this course is perfect for beginners or sewing enthusiasts alike and will accommodate a wide range of skill levels, making it accessible and beneficial to anyone interested in learning or improving their sewing skills.

Resources required:

  • a selection of coloured felt pieces (red, green, light brown, dark brown, white, and a mix of other colours would be useful)
  • a selection of seed beads & small beads
  • a variety of sequins
  • thin ribbon or ricrac
  • a pair of small or medium sized fabric scissors
