About this course

Introduction to Microsoft Excel spreadsheet software.

No prior knowledge of Excel needed.

Ideally, learners will have access at home to Microsoft Excel, so that they can practise during class on their own laptop/PC.

Learn to navigate the Excel software, add and format text and numbers, use basic formulas, and create basic charts.


Please note that this course is FREE for people who are currently either:

- employed AND claiming benefits, who live or work in Bassetlaw. (UKSPF funding)

- on benefits (Tailored Learning funding)

- OR have a household income of less than £25,000 p.y. (Tailored Learning funding)

Otherwise, a small fee applies.

Booking your place and fee information

To secure your place on the course BOTH the following must be done:

  • Complete the EVENTBRITE BOOKING, AND
  • Complete our INSPIRE ONLINE ENROLMENT FORM for each person attending the course.

Ensure that you enter your National Insurance Number so that we can confirm your eligibility.

You should be redirected to the Inspire Online Enrolment Form after completing the Eventbrite booking.  If you are not redirected, please use the link supplied in the Eventbrite booking confirmation email.

These courses are provided by Inspire Learning via the UKSPF project so the course may be free of charge.

To book and enrol on one of our courses, you must have been living in England and have been resident in the UK for the past 3 years.

Some exceptions may apply if you are living in England with evidence of the right to remain and are from an EEU/EEAU country (completion of a questionnaire will be required).  As we no longer receive funding for our ESFA-funded courses for learners living in the devolved areas listed below, full cost fees would apply to these courses if you live in these areas:
