Have you been thinking about setting up your own business? Have you recently become self-employed and feel like you need help with getting started? Join us for this series of workshops to find out how to market your business, use different tools that are available to the self-employed, and some customer service 'top tips'.
Throughout the day, you will have the opportunity to attend four different workshops that will cover self-employment basics, including:
Workshop 1 - An introduction to the BIPC and the free resources and support that are available to all self-employed people.
Workshop 2 - An introduction to using social media for marketing, where we will cover the different platforms that can be used to market your business and how to build up your following and engagement.
Workshop 3 - Customer Service, where we will share hints and tips on how to enhance your existing skills through exploring who your customers might be and what their needs are.
Workshop 4 - Using Canva and Microsoft Office templates to create invoices, business cards and reports.
This course has been funded through Bassetlaw District Council's UKSPF project and is free to anyone who is self-employed or employed in a part-time position.
All resources will be provided on the day but please bring a pen and notebook. Lunch is not provided but there will be an opportunity to network and find out further information about business start-up grants during the lunch break so please do bring your sandwiches with you!
To secure your place on the course BOTH the following must be done:
You should be redirected to the Inspire Online Enrolment Form after completing the Eventbrite booking. If you are not redirected, please use the link supplied in the Eventbrite booking confirmation email.
To book and enrol on one of our courses, you must have been living in England and have been resident in the UK for the past 3 years.
Some exceptions may apply if you are living in England with evidence of the right to remain and are from an EEU/EEAU country (completion of a questionnaire will be required).
