About this course

Do you think you are not good at drawing? Not drawn for a very long time.  If you’ve answered yes to these questions, then this course is for you.  Come along and try some easy steps that can help you build confidence in drawing and have fun too!  

Over the course, you will learn a variety of basic drawing techniques which are used for 2D and 3D purposes such as using the grid method, observational drawing and perspective drawing.  


By the end of the course, you will: 

  • Build confidence in basic drawing skills.  
  • Create a variety of finished 2D outcomes.  
  • Understand and be able to use a variety of media such as pen, pencil and colours.  

Learners should bring a basic sketchbook/notepad or paper to draw onto, a pen, pencil, ruler, rubber, sharpener.

To secure your place on the course BOTH the following must be done:

  • Complete our INSPIRE ONLINE ENROLMENT FORM for each person attending the course.

To book and enrol on one of our courses, you must have been living in England and have been resident in the UK for the past 3 years.

Some exceptions may apply if you are living in England with evidence of the right to remain and are from an EEU/EEAU country (completion of a questionnaire will be required).

As we no longer receive funding for our ESFA-funded courses for learners living in the devolved areas listed below, full cost fees would apply to these courses if you live in these areas:
