Frottage is a fun way to do art where actual drawing is kept to a minimal. It is a technique made famous by artist Max Ernst (1891 – 1976), where he would create many masterpieces by obtaining an impression of a surface texture such as wood, by placing a piece of paper over it and rubbing it with a soft pencil or graphite.
Over the course , you will learn how to successfully create art images with the Frottage technique, using lots of colour and minimal drawing elements.
