About this course

Learners will be taught to think about characterization and depth of character, along with the development of character. They will explore characters’ back stories and other characters’ perceptions of them. They will begin to consider the use of plot, as well of setting and action to learn more about their character. By the end of the course, they should feel like the character they have created is real!

To recall writing techniques
To understand importance of exploring character to improve quality of the story
To apply knowledge by taking part in written and practical activities
To analyse effectiveness of techniques used by published writers
To evaluate own and peers writing through use of feedback
To create an extended piece of writing about their character

To book and enrol on one of our courses, you must have been living in England and have been resident in the UK for the past 3 years.

Some exceptions may apply if you are living in England with evidence of the right to remain and are from an EEU/EEAU country (completion of a questionnaire will be required).
