About this course

This course is aimed at new or established writers, who are either already experimenting with using folk tales in their writing, or who would like to learn about this approach for the first time.

We will look at: 

  • Introduction to folk tales writing  
  • Language, structure and style used  
  • Assignments, including discussion prompts and writing exercises  
  • Opportunity to share your work (not obligatory)  
  • Written feedback on a final submission of up to 1,500 words 

By the end of the course, you will: 

  • Be able to understand language, structure and style used in folk tales 
  • Final submission of up to 1500 words 
  • To learn from published work 
  • To enable learners to feel confident about folk tale writing

As this course is online a suitable device such as laptop, smart phone , tablet or computer will be required to access the course. Teams will be used for the live sessions and the link will be sent out once enrolment has been completed.

To book and enrol on one of our courses, you must have been living in England and have been resident in the UK for the past 3 years.

Some exceptions may apply if you are living in England with evidence of the right to remain and are from an EEU/EEAU country (completion of a questionnaire will be required).
