Build on your existing beadweaving skills to create three pieces of bead-woven jewellery. You will learn a new beadweaving stitch to create a piece of jewellery each week. We will cover St Petersburg stitch, tubular herringbone and netting, creating a unique piece of jewellery with each.
What will learners achieve by the end of the course?
Create a design using St. Petersburg stitch to turn into a pendant or earrings
Create a bracelet using tubular herringbone
Create a necklace using beaded netting
Improve hand eye coordination
What skills or knowledge do learners already need to have to attend the course?
Have previously done some simple beadweaving and have basic jewellery making skills (being able to add on clasps, ends and earwires).
Resources required:
-Size 8 seed beads in a range of colours. Seed beads are small glass beads that come in a range of sizes – we will be using size 8 (sometimes styled 8/0) during this course. Please note that size 8 is not the same as 8mm.
-Beading needles in size 10 or 12
